Part time Peer Tutor – Humanities, Social Science & the Arts

The purpose of the part-time peer tutor is to serve as a “model student” to WCC students seeking tutoring. Peer tutors assist students as they “learn how to learn” through the development of general academic skills and subjects-specific skill building in a variety of tutoring formats. Tutors for Humanities, Social Science & Arts tutor students in the following academic disciplines: economics, academic and career skills, Spanish, French, Arabic, German, Chinese, digital media arts, communications, sociology, anthropology, history, political science, and culinary arts.

 

Mcity Software Engineering 2020 Summer Intern

Mcity runs several laboratories and C/AV (Connected / Automated Vehicle) research programs. As part of this we collect, store, classify, and assist with the analysis of a wide variety of data, working closely with our industry members and university researchers. You will have the unique opportunity to design, build, and scale all the components of our software/hardware architecture, including: Web based data analysis tools, API microservices, Process/Systems automation, Data processing pipelines, IoT Hardware for automation and data collection, and Cloud Infrastructure

 

Baker

Responsible for the bake area of the kitchen. Ensures that all bread, butter, and dessert items meet the legendary standards of the Texas Roadhouse.  Essential Functions:  Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.  Displays cutting and showmanship during the shift in the bread station.  Prepares specific amounts of product according to the daily prep sheets.

 

Associate Teacher-Infant/Toddler

Work within a team of other teachers who are passionate about the care and education of young children. You will support children in the 4 significant areas of child development- social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. The role of Associate Teacher is comprised of a unique blend of administrative tasks and fostering learning through play. Administrative tasks include but are not limited to creative lesson planning, conducting formal and informal student assessments, upholding State of Michigan licensing requirements for childcare programs, and regular reporting to the teaching team’s Lead Teacher and Center Directors. Associate Teachers are supported in their journey to emerge into professional caregivers whom children and their families trust, enjoy, and rely on for reaching milestones in their small worlds.

 

Auto Body Repair Technician

We are looking for skilled and trained individuals who would like to expand their career as an auto body technician. We are a full service body shop with many insurance direct repairs. We do everything big and small from rust to structural repairs using OEM repair procedures.

 

Survivor Advocate – Sexual Assault Program

Provide crisis counseling, trauma-informed services, advocacy, information, resources and support to survivors of sexual assault (adults and children) via individual, group, on-call response and telephone sessions. Advocate for and assist clients with court advocacy when relevant.  Conduct outreach and maintain accurate client demographics, service statistics, and case examples for reporting purposes.  Represent agency in various community settings. Comply with all grant and agency reporting.

 

Teller – Part Time

Greets members warmly and asks questions to determine their needs. Processes member financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.) accurately and in accord with credit union policies and procedures. Identifies member needs for additional services by actively listening, and responds by suggesting and explaining products and services to meet their needs, and referring member appropriately. Assists members with questions and/or problems relating to their accounts. Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and matches totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Sells / cross-sells additional products or services. Supports the mission, vision and values of Credit Union ONE.

 

Waitstaff

Provide excellent food service for Kresge Skilled Nursing residents, taking menu orders and ensuring meals are delivered properly. Clean up after residents have dined in Kresge dining area. Input orders into a computer. Ensure all dining areas are maintained according to Federal and State sanitation and food service guidelines.

 

CAD/CAM CNC Machine Programmer & Developer

We are looking for a person who can create effective CNC g-code programs: both manually written and CAM software generated. We utilize GibbsCAM, AutoDesk Fusion 360, and programming scripts written in Python to produce consistent generation of G-Code programs. Our milling and lathe departments contain both manual and CNC machines. We are looking for someone with versatile machining skills and G-code programming experience to support our manufacturing needs in those departments. We manufacture a wide variety of cutting tools and parts as needed to fulfill customer tool orders and provide new and spare parts for our machine division. An ideal applicant would understand how lathes and mills used to manufacture parts, including cutting insert and holder types. Our CNC machinery is mostly Fanuc controlled. Reading drawings and understanding part tolerances is necessary.

 

Cashier at Kroger

Greet customers and answer questions.  Operating register and transacting sales.  Lift various items out of/or into carts.  Bagging individual items.
