Cashier (CNA) – City of Ann Arbor

Collects money for general admissions and at some facilities, will work in the food service operation, as well as, the admissions operations. May also be responsible for answering the facility telephone and disseminating public information.  Concession operation personnel will be directly responsible for the cleanliness of the concession area and equipment. There is a possibility that this position may be renewed on an annual basis depending on the organization needs, funding and employee performance, in accordance with the City temporary worker’s policy. Starting Hourly Rate: $9.25

Customer Service Representative – Midwest Carpet Cleaning, Ypsilanti

is looking for a friendly and motivated customer service representative to assist our customers with scheduling appointments and resolving any customer issues. Customer service representatives responsibilities include managing a high call volume, scheduling appointments, providing administrative support to technicians, responding to customer inquiries, escalating customer issues and following up with customers to ensure resolution. To be successful in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, organized and possess good time management skills. You should also be familiar with QuickBooks and MS Word and Excel. $12/hour.

State Worker (seasonal) – Island Lake Recreation Area, Brighton

This is a temporary position that will typically run from mid-May through Labor Day. Most job tasks fit into one of three categories: public contact, janitorial, and maintenance. Examples of public contact are selling permits, answering questions, providing information, and rule enforcement. Examples of janitorial duties are cleaning public restrooms and vault toilets.  Examples of maintenance are lawn mowing, garbage/litter pickup, minor plumbing repair, and minor construction projects. Staff members will be assigned to one of four positions: 8- Maintenance positions, 3-Entrance booth positions,4-Boating Access Site booth positions and 3- Mowing/Maintenance positions. Beginning pay rate for this position is $9.45/hr.

Auto Body Technician Apprentice (full-time) – Dusty’s Collision, Ann Arbor

Qualifications: Willingness to learn and follow directions, passion for auto repair
Will learn skills in the following areas: Sheet metal repair, frame repair, collision related mechanical repair, plastic repair, welding and ability to take proper measurements

Inside Sales Intern (part-time) – DADCO, Plymouth

Searching for a bright, organized, hard-working student to work as an intern in our Inside Sales Department.  This is a great opportunity to gain office skills while helping to develop and maintain customer relationships, provide quotations, process shipment paperwork and provide filing assistance.  This paid position is a good fit for a sophomore or junior business student looking to gain real-experience while working towards their degree. Responsibilities include filing and other miscellaneous clerical duties.  Good organizational and PC skills are essential. Work hours are flexible around your school schedule.

 

Baking Pastry Scaler (full-time) – Zingerman’s Bakehouse, Ann Arbor

Work on making and baking hand crafted, artisan pastries. Availability: 8 hour shifts from 5am – 1pm. Average hourly work week of 40 hours. Weekend and holiday availability. Essential job functions:
Must have at least 1-year professional food experience and/or training. Set up and organize scaling area. Scale/measure recipes. Monitor and rotate ingredient levels using FIFO. Break down set up and clean area. Keep all of the recipes organized for the mixers. Live and uphold the Zingerman’s Guiding Principles. Treats customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect. Work safely around hot ovens, heavy equipment and sharp utensils. Work in a clean and organized fashion. Follow clearly documented food safety procedures. Take direction from multiple leaders. Previous baking experience a plus. Excellent attendance and punctuality. Has reliable transportation. Likes to have fun at work!
