Join the Neutral Zone for their kick-off event beginning a month-long critical exploration of the intersections of race, gender, class and other identities, inspired by Claudia Rankine’s book “Citizen: An American Lyric.” Neutral Zone youth will share poetry centered around intersectionality, the experiences of women of color and microaggressions. Women’s History Month Kickoff
Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, author of “What The Eyes Don’t See”, the book that helped bring the Flint water crisis to the forefront, will visit campus to discuss her first-hand experience with with lead poisoning cases while she was working as a pediatrician in Flint. The first 200 students will receive a free copy of her book.
